Six independent apartments have been restored around the ancient stone house, which go back to 17th century. Thre farm is only 4km far from the historic centre of Perugia and offers a suggestive view of the Umbrian hills. The country farm"la volpe e l'uva" is an agricultural farm in the heart of the Umbria region. On 2000, the farm became property of our family and we started a process of restoration of the building and agrarian patrimony with particular care to the wine and olive oil area. The farmhouse is composed by five independent apartments recently restored: Paulownia, Rocco, Oca, Fico, Riding (bilo-apartments) and Chiocciola (mono-apartment). The apartments have gardens, swimming pool, play area for children, open barbecue. The apartments are simply furnished, offering a comfortable stay in the countryside at a working farm. The farm is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and which house the production center of the farm's products. The farmhouse apartments are all perfectly restored, each one with private entrance and common garden. Inside they are tastefully furnished with TV and their single unit heating system. Our farm produces an high quality extra virgin olive oil. The old farm tools have given way to advanced techniques while losing nothing of the traditional art of olive oil production. These modern tools respect and safeguard all the natural characteristics of the freshly harvested olive and prevent any alteration from occurring during the production process. The olives are picked manually from the trees and carried to the press within 48 hours. The oil is extracted with cold working (without chemical solvents). It has a fresh flavor, a very fruity, spicy, intense and savory olive oil characterized by sweet and bitter features. Olive oil is the principal source of fat in the Mediterranean diet. It is mainly used for dressing dishes, and its nutritional qualities seem to be responsible for decreasing cancer and cardiovascular diseases in populations who use it in preference to other dressings rich in saturated fats, both of animal and vegetable origin. Our farm produces also a good red wine from "sangiovese" and "montepulciano" grapes and jams. You can sell our products in the farm. We offer a bottle of our wine to all the guest of the farm!

The villa is rented weekly and is the best accommodation for groups of friends and families with children (fenced garden). A washing machine, 2 full equipped kitchens, 4 bathrooms will let you spend your holidays in a very comfortable way. SWIMMING POOL
The pool is above ground but is set among olive trees and gives you the opportunity to have a wonderful view of the valley.
It's length (7 meters) and width (3.5 meters) are enough to host parties of 8 and is usually warmed by the sun on hot days allowing you to have a magic sensation when you get in.
The sun terrace next to the pool will let you enjoy your stay, suntanning and relaxing.

The villa has belonged to my family since the end of the 19th century and was completely restored in 1996, we have always hosted our best friends and clients in this property allowing them to reach Florence, but almost all the beauties of Tuscany, within a hour.

La Nievolina" is a lovely villa with swimming pool set among the Tuscan hills close to Florence, Lucca and Pisa and to all best spots in Tuscany. The villa is rented weekly (saturday/saturday) all year long and is equipped with all the best comforts and furnished in a old Tuscan style.

Getting to the "La Nievolina" is easy. We're close to the highway and the train station of Montecatini Terme, both about 10 minutes away by car. The Thermal Spa is reachable in few minutes taking the panoramic road to Montecatini
We provide road and city maps, tourists guides, trains schedules, brochures of the area to help you plan your tour around.
The villa is next to the small village of Nievole, less than a mile, where you can find the church, a post office, some restaurants and a little food store. Montecatini Alto, a lovely medieval village at the top of a hill, is just less than 2 miles far away from the Villa, on the panoramic road to Montecatini Terme. It's known for the fantastic view overlooking all the valley almost up to the seaside and for some lovely shops and restaurants.

HISTORY
The Flora has opened on 4th April 1955, by Mario Tomada and his wife Foenna Caciotti; she is the daughter of the owners of the Hotel Restaurant Stella dItalia, located in piazza Duomo, opened since 1895 and closed in May 2001, there, where taken place some of the most important events happened in town until the end of the sixtiees.

The tradition and the experience transferred into the renovation of the Palace Martelli was the base of an elegant and pleasant hotel, with all comforts needed from the Guests coming to Prato either for tourism or business.

Today, as in the past, the Flora, still managed by Rodolfo Tomada, mantains his distintiveness, and always placing the attention to the Client as the main action.
